Instructional Design with Technology

 My overall thoughts on this course comes from the view of a school district administrator. I believe that instructional design with technology is crucial for school administrators because it enhances teaching and learning experiences. It enables administrators to integrate innovative tools and resources into the curriculum, catering to diverse learning styles and needs. Moreover, technology-driven instructional design fosters engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking among students, preparing them for the digital age. Lastly, effective use of technology in instructional design can lead to improved academic outcomes and better prepares students for success in higher education and the workforce.

As someone who regularly is asked to do presentations, I found the gamification module to be one of the most important parts of the class. We are always tasked to ensure we are hitting standards and benchmarks and we sometimes forget that learning should also be fun. I also appreciated the incorporation of AI into our learning because it's now part of everyday life, particularly in education. We need to learn about to intentionally use it in our work and classrooms. 

I would love to learn more about what's currently at the forefront with EdTech. One day I hope to attend ISTE. I never had the chance as a teacher so fingers crossed that happens soon.

 Greetings, Beautiful People! I'm finishing up the first course of my EdTech cohort journey. Who lied and said this would be easy? 😒 Even as a refresher, I find that I've forgotten some useful tips and picked up many more items along the way. This is one of the best programs in PSS and I'm glad it has continued to remain available to the staff. Kudos to Ms. Lorraine for being an amazing ITDE director.  I'm happy to be sharing this class with my work wife, Valerie. I think I learned a lot about how I can utilize this edtech tools in all aspects of my work. Since the district primarily uses Google apps, I plan to continue to use all parts of it with reports, data collection, and documentation of all administrative aspects of work life. I think I just want to learn more about using sheets and being more confident in using it in my praxis.
